Does it get any cooler than this?

The video comes from a company called Jatech in California.  This system is called the Disappearing Car Door, the Retractable Vehicle Door, or the Rotary Drop Door.  It’s been in design for the past ten years, including input from several auto manufacturers and Tier One suppliers.

Shown in the video on a Lincoln MarkVIII, the system is also being developed for availability on most vehicles with standard-sized coupe or four-door configurations.
